Traceability is a powerful asset to promote more transparency in the coffee chain

Traceability is a powerful asset to promote more transparency in the coffee chain. But transparency requires more than information. The most important thing in this case is not technology. It’s the human factor. Or to be more precise, it´s the attitude of having transparency as a core value in every business you make. That is why we send certificates to coffee producers sharing cupping notes of their lots and detailed information about the negotiation we had with foreign buyers, including the name of the coffee roaster who bought the coffee lots and how much each lot was valued.

Last week, one of our agronomists, Fabricio Sangaletti (who´s also a coffee producer btw), along with our field technician Cesar Augusto had the initiative to put these certificates in a nice frame and toured the beautiful hills of Matas de Minas to meet producers and deliver their certificates.

Well done, Fabricio and Cesar! When a producer knows his coffee is appreciated and valued in foreign markets he feels more motivated to continue producing great coffee!
